A template on Toolenza is a saved configuration for any workspace-aware tool — an invoice with your line items already filled in, a lesson plan with sections and time allocations, a workout program with exercises and rep schemes, a contract draft with standard clauses. Every template is a community contribution: someone built it once, marked it public, and now every other Toolenza user can fork it in one click.
Forking a template creates a personal copy in your account. The original stays untouched and available to everyone else. Your fork is yours to edit, share, or delete — it lives in your dashboard under Recent work.
Who uses these templates?
Templates are organised by the persona that uses them most: accountants grab invoice and depreciation templates, teachers pull lesson-plan and rubric templates, personal trainers use macro and program templates, lawyers reach for contract-clause and demand-letter templates, freelancers use quote and invoice templates with their own branding. Use the persona filter above to find what's relevant to you.
How do I publish my own template?
- Open any workspace-aware tool — invoice, lesson plan, budget planner, decision matrix, etc.
- Build the example you want to share — fill it in the way you'd want someone else to receive it.
- Click Save as template, give it a clear name and a one-paragraph description.
- Tag the persona it's for. Submit. The template appears here within a few minutes.
Templates are free to publish and free to fork. There's no monetisation today — Stripe Connect payouts are on the roadmap. If you have a paid template idea, get in touch.
Is anything uploaded when I fork a template?
Yes — forking a template creates a workspace row tied to your account on Toolenza's database. The workspace stores your edits so you can resume on a different device. If you're privacy-sensitive about a specific document, fork it, copy the contents locally, then delete the workspace.
How are templates ranked?
By a combination of upvotes and fork count. Templates that get actually used (high forks) and that users explicitly endorse (high votes) float to the top. Filter by persona to see what's most-used within your context.
