About JSON ↔ CSV

What this tool does

A two-way converter between JSON arrays of objects and delimited text (CSV, TSV, or any custom delimiter). Paste JSON on one side or CSV on the other; the opposite pane updates as you type. Everything happens in your browser via PapaParse — no data is uploaded.

When to use it

  • Prepping API JSON for a spreadsheet
  • Turning a client-supplied CSV into JSON to seed a database
  • Sanity-checking that a CSV export round-trips through JSON without losing rows
  • Switching delimiters (comma → semicolon for European Excel, or tab-separated for shell pipelines)

Frequently asked questions

An array of flat objects, e.g. `[{"name":"A","age":1}]`. Nested objects are stringified into their column; if you need a deep flatten, transform the JSON first.

Yes by default. Toggle "Header row" off to emit or parse headerless CSV (columns become col1, col2…).

Comma, semicolon, tab, pipe, or any single character you type. TSV is a preset.

No. PapaParse runs entirely in your browser and nothing leaves your machine.
