About Qibla Direction

The Qibla is the direction from any point on Earth toward the Kaaba in Makkah — the direction Muslims face during Salah. It is not simply 'east' or 'south' from most locations; the great-circle path across a spherical earth is often surprising. From New York the Qibla is roughly north-east (about 58°).
