Frequently asked questions
Each letter is replaced with a Unicode character that visually resembles the upside-down version (e.g. 'ɐ' for 'a'), then the string is reversed. Some letters do not have perfect Unicode equivalents.
No — the output is plain Unicode text. Some platforms strip non-standard characters, but most modern apps (Twitter, WhatsApp, Discord) render it correctly.
For 'Reverse characters' we use a code-point spread, which preserves most emoji and accented characters. Complex grapheme clusters (e.g. flag emoji) may split.
